How we select grantees:
We use a rigorous screening process to determine what research projects to select for our grants. The procedure is as follows:
First, we have a board meeting to discuss all the applicants’ strengths and weaknesses.
We do an investigation of any applicants we wish to consider funding.
We run it by a Scientific Advisory Board, who has at least two members with a postgraduate degree in biology.
The Board has a final vote to determine what research project gets a grant.
We limit our grants to other organizations recognized as exempt under Code section 501(c)(3). This ensures a rigorous control by the IRS that the grantees act in the interest of the general public.
If you would like to apply for a grant, please start by contacting us to describe your project.
